Hi there, welcome to my blog! I started this blog in hopes to provide music and tattoo fans alike a detailed glimpse into some of their favorite artists’ tattoos. I’m on an ongoing mission to find some of the best tattoo artists in the world and what other way to find them than through musicians’ tattoos? Even though some artists may have objectively “bad” tattoos, they more so lean on the comedic side. But for artists who have tattoos that are just straight up bad, they are a good example of what not to get in a tattoo. Of course, this isn’t a blog telling you what and what not to get tattooed, but I hope that you find it helpful enough as a guide.
I’d have to say that Hayley Williams from Paramore has some of my favorite tattoos I’ve seen on anybody. And yes, it’s just because she’s Hayley Williams. Plus, I feel like everyone has a soft spot for Paramore, so please find it understandable. Aside from her, Michelle Zauner of Japanese Breakfast has some pretty cool tattoos, too. Though I’m not a fan of Maroon 5, Adam Levine has a collection of well done and well placed tattoos that I just learned about when he took his shirt off during the Super Bowl half-time show.
I love tattoos, the art and intricacies of it, and the stories they hold. I started getting tattooed when I was nineteen and have about seven and counting. Some of my tattoos have meaning behind them and some of them don’t (here’s to getting impulsive tattoos!). My favorite tattoo styles include Japanese and American traditional. And I love color tattoos, too.
The experience of getting tattooed also comes down to the tattoo artist, which is why I want to mention them whenever I talk about a musician’s tattoos. The tattoos I have and the experience of getting them were so enjoyable because of the artists who did them.
I am always looking forward to my next tattoo (though the healing process may not always be smooth, it’s always worth it). If you’re in Philly or nearby and looking for tattoo artists recommendations, hit me up!
